Lead Projects, Develop People, and be part of a special team. Xcellent Technology Solutions (XTS) is seeking a GIS or GEOINT Projects Manager to assist with growing our business. We are seeking someone who can bring high-energy, technical GIS or GEOINT expertise and help execute a growth strategy tied to upskilling our employees. XTS has special processes that enable us to select the right candidates to turn into valued employees, a PeopleOps approach to educate and train those employees, and a method for tying customer accomplishment to employee achievement. An XTS leader must have and demonstrate respect for others and be committed to company values.
As the Geospatial Project Manager your weekly time will be broken into:
  • 1/3rd Technical Support for Customer Marketing Efforts/Business Development
  • 1/3rd Leading and Managing Employees and Ensuring Customer success
  • 1/3rd Implementing Business Projects, including upskilling, designed to increase process efficiency
(This is an annual estimate; different time intervals will call for different focus levels).

Qualifications:
  • 5-10 Years Total Professional Experience
  • 3 Plus Years GIS or GEOINT Knowledge
  • 2 Plus Years Leadership experience preferably with small groups
  • Understanding of at least 1 of 5 Geospatial areas: Software Development, System Design, GEOINT Analysis, Commercial Imagery Sourcing, or Geo AI (Artificial Intelligence) (We will invest in getting you familiarized with the other 4 areas)
  • Desired Not Required: TS/SCI, PMP Certification, ITIL or Scrum
Skills
  • Demonstrated Proficiency with translating technical GIS requirements into written documentation
  • Ability to track a customer deliverable and clearly communicate expectations to employees
  • Team builder with demonstrated history of drawing diverse skill sets together to execute a joint objective
  • Any of the following 4:
(1) A strong statistical background with ability to utilize excel or R or Matlab
(2) Ability to create applications in a low/no-code environment
(3) Leadership ability with mentoring multiple employees into a promotion
(4) Documented History of very high-quality project reports including technical design and graphics inlay

The position is located in Warrenton, VA. The expectation is this position will primarily operate “in office” particularly at the start, this is not a remote position. You must be a US citizen at time of application. This requirement is due to our facility clearance requirements if you do not have a security clearance at time of hire that's acceptable , if you currently hold a Top Secret clearance the job compensation range increases by $10,000 over our projection.
