Senior GEOINT Analytic Methodologist - SAR/MTI (TS/SCI)

Springfield, VA

Help shape the next chapter of Geospatial Intelligence!

Every new sensor capability brings an opportunity to see the world differently, uncover what was previously hidden, and provide a clearer understanding of the activities shaping our national security. But technology alone doesn’t produce meaningful intelligence, It takes experienced analysts who can recognize its potential challenge conventional approaches and develop new ways to uncover the intelligence that matters most.

This is a rare chance to join us as a Senior GEOINT Analytic Methodologist to support the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s (NGA) Office of Sciences and Methodologies (ATS). This is an opportunity to be part of a mission where emerging sensor technologies meet innovative GEOINT tradecraft, and where your expertise will directly influence how intelligence is analyzed, exploited, and understood. Leveraging your knowledge of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), Moving Target Indicator (MTI), and advanced GEOINT exploitation, you’ll help unlock the potential of emerging sensor capabilities by developing new analytical methodologies, refining established tradecraft, and finding better ways to transform complex geospatial data into actionable intelligence. Your work will go beyond solving today’s intelligence challenges, helping establish the approaches and techniques analysts will rely on as GEOINT capabilities continue to advance. And your contributions won’t end with the methodologies you develop. By translating your expertise into practical tradecraft, technical briefings, and training, you’ll help analysts across the Allied System for GEOINT understand and apply these capabilities, extending the value of your work throughout the Intelligence Community.

Requirements
  • Current active Top Secret / SCI clearance.
  • You have one of the following education and relevant experience combinations:
  • Associate degree + 8 years
  • Bachelor’s degree + 7 years
  • Master’s degree + 5 years
  • 10 or more years of relevant experience
  • Expertise with traditional and nontraditional NTM sensors, including advanced SAR and MTI phenomenology, to recognize their capabilities and maximize their intelligence value.
  • Expertise in Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED) processes, advanced GEOINT tradecraft, and vector GEOINT exploitation to transform complex sensor data into actionable intelligence.
  • Experience with GEOINT technologies such as Maven Smart System, SOCET GXP, RemoteView, iSpy, ArcGIS Pro, or DotMatrix to support advanced geospatial analysis and exploitation.
  • Familiarity with Activity-Based Intelligence (ABI) principles and applications to identify patterns, relationships, and activities that strengthen intelligence assessments.

Nice to Have
  • Experience with radar, ABI, or MTI exploitation to expand analytical capabilities
  • Experience shaping analytic standards, workflows, or best practices to improve GEOINT methodologies.
  • Experience in creating or refining training content to strengthen analyst knowledge and proficiency.
  • Experience with Python, R, SQL, or similar tools to streamline workflows and improve analytical efficiency.

If you’re ready to influence the techniques, knowledge, and tradecraft that will strengthen GEOINT analysis for years to come, send your resume directly to Lanchi Lai, ([email protected]).

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability
Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
