CI Cyber Analyst (TS/SCI)

Springfield, VA
Full Time
Mid Level
Position :  CI Cyber Analyst
Location:  Springfield, VA OR St. Louis, MO

At the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), protecting national security doesn’t just happen on the front lines, it happens behind the screen.

As a Counterintelligence Cyber Analyst, you’ll be part of a trusted team defending critical intelligence systems from insider threats, foreign adversaries, and cyber intrusion. You won’t just be writing reports, you’ll be digging into network data, identifying anomalous behavior, and translating technical findings into actionable insights that protect some of the most sensitive missions in the U.S. Government.

Day to day, you’ll support cyber threat investigations, perform malware analysis, write intelligence briefs, and collaborate with forensic analysts, CI investigators, and SOC teams across NGA. You’ll help turn digital breadcrumbs into a clear picture of who, what, how, and why, then recommend how to stop it. This role requires discretion, analytical sharpness, and the kind of mission-first mindset that thrives in a national security setting.

This is your opportunity to protect U.S. intelligence from the inside out.  Contact Josh at [email protected]!

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in network analysis, including hands-on investigation of network activity and threat detection.
  • Proven ability to identify, interpret, and analyze network artifacts to support cyber threat investigations.

  • Demonstrated experience conducting cyber counterintelligence or insider threat investigations, with the ability to produce clear, concise analytical reports for senior leadership and mission stakeholders.
**Must possess or be willing to obtain a DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Level III certification (e.g., CASP+, CISSP, or equivalent) within 12 months of hire.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability
Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
