While working as part of a longstanding tight-knit Agile development team you will actively design back-end geospatially enabled applications to manage hydrographic analysis and troubleshoot engineering problems related to core National Map applications. XTS is seeking a strong candidate with great Python and GIS Spatial reasoning who can apply those mindsets and skills to problem-solving. The position can be done remotely, especially by strong communicators who integrate through MS Teams and JIRA.
Position Requirements Strong Python-enabled programming proficiency including knowledge of GeoPandas and other demonstrated spatial libraries. Extensive knowledge of ESRI programming libraries as the customer is heavily focused on this technology but some open source applications including future incorporation of QGIS would be a bonus JavaScript for some open-layer applications would be necessary. Previous experience with GDAL and automated projection transformation for programming. Bachelor's degree and/or 4-6 years of software programming experience
