Build Mission-Critical Geospatial Solutions for the Marine Corps
This is your opportunity to support the Marine Corps Intelligence Activity (MCIA) and play a key role in delivering geospatial intelligence that informs decisions across the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community.
As a GIS Developer, you’ll be embedded within the Marine Corps Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Enterprise (MCISRE), developing modern, user-focused geospatial tools that empower intelligence professionals to discover, visualize, and share critical geospatial data across multiple classified networks. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and enjoys turning complex requirements into scalable, practical solutions.

Core Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain modern GIS applications and web-based geospatial tools that improve access to and usability of geospatial intelligence
Support MCIA’s mission to provide a secure, centralized geospatial data platform used across classified and unclassified environments
Enhancing MCIA’s online geospatial portal through product development, metadata integration, and feature improvements
Collaborate with mission partners to ensure solutions align with DoD and IC standards
Requirements:
Active TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Computer Science, Geography, or a related field, with 4+ years of relevant experience
Or 8+ years of experience in lieu of degree
CompTIA Security+ certification (required for system-level access and support responsibilities)
Solid programming, scripting, and web development skills using languages such as Python, JavaScript, SQL, Java, .NET, HTML, and CSS
Experience developing and supporting enterprise GIS applications and web-based geospatial tools, including system documentation, testing, and validation to ensure secure, reliable performance
Experience supporting geospatial tools across classified and unclassified networks in accordance with DoD and IC standards
