Senior Data Scientist (National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency)

​​​​​Streamlining production workflows, designing mission-ready solutions, and developing analyst facing visuals and interfaces are crucial to GEOINT production and planning efficiency and can be the defining advantage for mission-success for our troops abroad.

As a Senior Data Scientist supporting US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), you will be joining XTS's mission-ready, efficient, and collaborative team supporting the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). In this role, you will be transforming complex analytical models into interactive GEOINT data visualizations, identify trends, insights, and analytical discoveries, and leverage your GEOINT and programming expertise to best serve daily, mission-critical operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, the desired candidate must demonstrate:
  • Master's degree in a related area and 5 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor's degree and 7 years of experience
    • 10 years of experience may be provided in lieu of degree
  • Current active TS/SCI security clearance and willing to sit for a CI Polygraph exam
  • Demonstrated senior-level Python proficiency, along with strong SQL experience for querying relational databases
    • Also includes querying and integrating web APIs through Python to retrieve, normalize, and operationalize data
  • Experience using Git-based version platform control platforms (e.g. GitLab, GitHub)
  • Experience building dashboards and analytic interfaces using either Dash, Tableau, Streamlit, Panel, etc.
  • Experience developing interactive data visualizations using either Plotly, Seaborn, Matplotlib, Bokeh, etc.
  • Proficiency with geospatial processing frameworks and GIS desktop software including ArcGIS Pro or QGIS, GDAL or ArcPy
