This is an exciting chance to join us in supporting the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) as a Senior Data Scientist, where the work you do with data can directly shape how information is understood and used across the mission. You’ll work with complex data systems, AI/ML technologies, and everything from geospatial data to JSON and XML, using Python and other languages to clean, manipulate, connect, and make sense of information that may not arrive with an obvious answer. You’ll dig deeper through quantitative analysis, develop visualizations that bring findings to life, and turn complex data into insights analysts and mission partners can actually use. As NGA continues to modernize how data is collected, analyzed, and reported, you’ll have the opportunity to work at the intersection of data science and emerging analytic capabilities, helping uncover patterns, relationships, and information that might otherwise be missing. Requirements
  • Current active Top Secret / SCI clearance.
  • You have achieved an accomplishment of a Master’s Degree + 5 years / Bachelor’s + 7 years / 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • You have experience working with AI/ML technologies and data systems and understand how these capabilities can be applied to complex analytical problems.
  • You have experience working across multiple files and data types, including geospatial file formats, JSON, XML, and other structured or unstructured sources.
  • You have strong experience conducing quantitative analysis, developing visualizations, and processing complex data to uncover patterns and create meaningful data-driven insights.
  • You have development experience using Python and other programming languages for data cleaning, manipulation, processing, and analysis.

Nice to Have
  • Expereince applying Natural Language Processing (NLP) algorithms to extract and make sense of information contained within documents.
  • Experience supporting enterprise NGA analytic modernization efforts such as SOM, Computer Vision, automated collection, or automated reporting, along with an understanding of data standardization best practices.
  • Demonstrated expertise in mathematics, statistics, and quantitative analysis.
  • Experience applying analytic techniques such as classification, regression, clustering, data reduction, and casual modeling.

Salary Range: 110K-118K/annually
