This is your chance to combine your expertise in Instructional Systems Design (ISD) and your passion for human geography and geospatial intelligence in a role that truly makes an impact. As a Senior Human Geography Instructor, you’ll help shape the training programs that prepare analysts proficiency in geospatial methodologies, human geography concepts, and open-source intelligence (OSINT) tools. Leveraging geospatial data to show students how to make sense of places, populations, and cultural patterns. Your expertise will help ensure that critical datasets—like the Geographic Name Database—are effectively maintained and utilized worldwide. Equipping Analyst with the skills to analyze human geography, maintain foundational datasets, and integrate emerging geospatial technologies into intelligence operations. Developing and refining high-quality curriculum, you’ll apply ADDIE principles to create meaningful experiences that are both engaging and practical. Directly working with students both in-person and virtually; fostering an interactive learning environment where students engage in peer teaching, hands-on exercises, and real-world applications. Collaborating with subject matter experts, course developers, and leadership to continually refine and improve the curriculum—assessing and adjusting the content will ensure that it stays relevant and impactful. Requirements
  • Current active Top Secret / SCI clearance
  • You have accomplished the achievement of a Doctorate Degree + 5 years OR a Master’s Degree + 15 years
  • A deep understanding of Instructional Systems Design (ISD) and experience applying it to create courses and training programs. Familiar with the ADDIE framework and know how to design training that engages learners, challenges them, and helps them succeed.
  • Experience with foundational geospatial data creation and maintenance, including the Geography Names Database, cultural geography datasets, etc. in order to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable lessons.
  • Experience conducting OSINT research and applying human geography concepts to intelligence, security, and defense missions.
  • Proficiency in other world language(s)—ability to read and interpret foreign geographic names relevant to geospatial intelligence and regional analysis.
  • Strong proficiency with Blackboard and other learning management systems (LMS), and the ability to use these platforms to track student progress and improve the learning experience.
  • Ability to travel to various of locations CONUS / OCONUS (may be up to 5 times/year, 1-2 weeks duration)
